Dune Remake

French director Morel is taking on the new adaptation of the movie Dune. In the past there has been cheesy 80s version of the sci-fi classic and even a t.v. show. Hopefully the upcoming epic will be a great experience and a hit in the box office!

Sleeya CoCo

Talk show host Conan O'Brien is leaving The Tonight Show on NBC after 7 months. NBC and him had many feuds and ended with a pricy pay off to Conan. $45 million dollars was given to CoCo as a severance package, but with a catch. He is not allowed to host another show until September, however I am sure $45 million dollars will be a fine substitute for his regular income.

RBN for the Win

The Rock Band Network has just released its new perk of uploading your own song onto Rock Band and play them as if they were a part of the game. This is good news for indie bands and unknowns. However, there could be some really crappy music being uploaded.

Netflix Wii

Wii is joining the clan of game systems that are compatible with instant streaming on Netflix. Its not a big deal but it is a breakthrough for Nintendo. Personally, I am a Playstation guy.

Thats rights a third installment of Ghostbusters is underway. Columbia Pictures is developing a script/cast, begging Bill Murray to be a part of the movie. Filming starts next year and will hit the big screen in 2011.

Stoners Rejoice!

Marijuana has finally been legalized under the new bill AB 390. This allows anyone over 21 to legally purchase the drug with a $50 tax for every ounce bought. The measure needs the health committee's approval, however the police chiefs say that this will lead to an increase in slow moving and unorganized crime hahahah!

Looks like Mike McGwire is cheat! He admitted using performing enhancing drugs such as steroids to improve his game. This means his record breaking season in 1998 happened with a little help from an illegal drug.

2010 Movie Mayhem

The new decade has just begun however there are many conflicts regarding upcoming movies. For example, Spiderman 4 still has not been issued a villain, delaying the movie for several months. Daron Aranofsky, directer of The Wrestler, does not agree that his new movie remake Robocop, should not be filmed in 3D. Finally, Sean Penn agreed to play Larry in the new Three Stooges movie ... again! This year is packed with awesome movie, the only thing is that we will just have to wait just a tad longer.

MW2 for the Win!

After suffering a very serious hand injury, a MMA fighter spent his recovery playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 which actually healed his hand! I always had a feeling that video games was the key to feeling better.
